Pokhara is famous as the city of lakes for having five lakes within the valley. The famous lakes are Phewatal, Rupatal, Begnastal, Dipangtal, and Medital. Pokhara is also famous for the under ground Seti River, Devid's fall, Mahendra cave, temple of Bindyabasini and Barahi temple.
Pokhara is the kingdom's rainiest place ( average rainfall 4783mm ) The prevailing climate is humid subtropical with mean temperature above 13 degree C. and summer maximum exceeding 32 degree Celsius. |
