Annapurna Conservation Area

The largest conservation area of the country with area of 7629 sq km. It is the home of 1226 plant species, 30 mammals, 456 types birds and various ethnic groups. The world's deepest gorge  ( Kali Gandaki ),  sacred Mt Fishtail, Mt Dhaulagiri ( 8167 m ), Giant Annapurna range all are here.   Entry fee Rs 2000

Annapurna

The Buddhist goddess of harvest and bounty. There is a famous temple of Annapurna at Ason in Kathmandu. Annapurna is also the name of Hindu goddess Parvati, the consort of Shiva. 

Annapurna Himal

Annapurna Himal- the Nepal's most beautiful and panoramic mountain range bounded by the Marsyangdi River in the east and Kali Gandaki River, in the west. Annapurna I (8091m) is the highest peak in the range. Other peaks in the range includes Machhapuchre ( 6993m ), Lamjung Himal ( 6799m ), Mardi Himal ( 5127m), Hiunchuli (6461m ) and Nilgiri ( 7134m ).
