Tibet reopened to foreign tourists after month-long suspension.

With effect from March 01, 2009 international departure tax is collected with ticket fare for the all the international flights originating from Nepal. Passengers no need to queue up to pay airport tax in the airport before check in. The new taxes are given below.

1. Nepal-Passenger Service Charge-NP
   1. Rs 791 for international departures to SAARC countries
   2. Rs 1130 for international departures to all other countries
2. Nepal- Tourism Service Fee- NQ
   1. Rs 565 for all international departures

SAARC countries- Bangaladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Pakistan
