Lumbini

Lumbini- the birth place of Sidartha Gautam Buddha, in Rupandehi District Terai, Nepal. Lumbini was discovered in 1952 BS by a German scholar Alois Anten Fuhrer.

Buddha- The name applied to the founder of Buddhism, Siddartha Gautam. Buddha is regarded as the ninth incarnation of Vishnu in Hindu Mythology. He was born here in Lumbini in 623 BC.
