Upper Mustang Jeep Tour

Slightly to the northwest of Kathmandu, can be reached 25 minutes light to Jomsom and 5 days walking from Jomsom. But now it is accessible by Jeep.

A region of unspoiled beauty, it has been open to outside tourists only since 1995, there continues to be strict limits applying entry fees of US$ 500 per person.
Surrounded on all sides by calm and snowy mountains. Mustang is a very mountainous under developed area of Nepal in the Himalayas. The air is thin here. The average altitude is around 15000ft. The famous temple of Muktinath lies in Mustang District. The Mustang extends to the Inner Himalayan range. Mustang is the Nepal’s least rainy place since it lies in the rain-shadow of the Nepal.

Lopa a people of upper Kali Gandaki region in Mustang. Lopa implies to the inhabitants of Lo a part of the high Tibetan plateau in the rain shadow of the Himalayas in Mustang. They observe Buddhism and there are several Gompas (monsteries) in their communities.

Day 1
Arrival, pickup by private vehicle to hotel
You will be met on arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu and transferred to hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2
Sightseeing city, local guided tour
This morning tour Kathmandu and Swayambhunath Stupa. See Kathmandu Durbar Square including Kastmandap temple (known as temple made from wood of single tree), visit Kumari (the living goddess), temple of Akash Bhairab, Kalbhairab, temple of Taleju, and continue to Swayambhunath Stupa from where you can view all Kathmandu valley. An afternoon visit Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 3
Drive 280 KM via reserved bus
Day 03, Kathmandu-Pokhara-Beni:</strong> Today travel west to Beni. The 8 hours scenic drive gives you spectacular and breathtaking view en-route. We will have stops for lunch, toilet and picture.  Overnight at Beni.
Day 4
Travel along the Kali Gandaki River
Early morning drive to Jomsom. We travel through Tatopani, Ghasa, Marpha and Jomsom along the Kaligandaki Goerge. Overnight in Jomsom.
Travel through arid landscapes and remote settlements
After early breakfast, proceed toward Tsehile. The trail follows to the bank of Kaligandaki, somewhere crossing the river. The journey passes the villages of Tangbe &amp; Chunksang. Overnight in Tshuksang.
Day 6
Cross the difficult terrain and passes, travel through tundra zone to the remote villages
Enjoy early breakfast and start journey Today we cross four passes Taklam La (3240m) Dzong La (3550m), Baga La, Yemdo pass (4000m). You travel through Samar,  Syangboche, Ghemi, Tserang, and Lo-manthang. There are very few settlements in Mustang. Each village contains about 2-6 families. Overnight in Lo-manthang.
Day 7
Explore Lomanthang
Explore Mustang and visit King palace, Monasteries, Low Caste Village, Herbal Medical School, even you can visit with Traditional Herbal Medicine Doctor.
Retrace steps back to earlier camp
Travel to Tserang, Ghami
Day 9
Travel to Marpha
Travel to Marpha. A popular village for apple.
Day 10
Back to city
Travel to Pokhara. Day at leisure.
Day 11
Explore Pokhara
Explore Pokhara city your own hanging around lake side, walking around Fewa lake and more
Day 12
Travel back to Kathmandu
After breakfast travel back to Kathmandu
Day 13
Explore Bhaktapur
In the morning enjoy tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. An afternoon free for self activities and last minute shopping. Evening final get together. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 14
Trip concludes
